The Profast Group

1956

Pipeflow Products Ltd

Profast started life in Ballymena in 1956 as Pipeflow Products Ltd.

1956

Pipeflow Westwood Ltd

Acquired  J.C Westwood, merged business and moved to Belfast. We were known as Pipeflow Westwood Ltd. 

1960's

Samuel Jordan

Changed hands to Samuel Jordan.

1977

Dublin

Pipeflow Westwood (IRL) formed and commenced operations in 1978.

          Ownership change

              Change of ownership to Brian Bell &

                                                            Mike O'Grady.

1996

Acquisition

The first acquisition after the buyout when Furniture fixings Ltd (Derbyshire) was acquired

1997

Toolfast Ltd

Acquired Toolfast Ltd (Tamworth)

2006

Profast Group

The company restructured business in Ireland and changed focus. Window and door hardware was now in Belfast and fasteners and fixings, in Dublin. This led to the formation of Fortus Hardware Ltd which paved the way for re-establishing the Profast name.

2024

Management buyout

Profast Group was successfully acquired by three of its colleagues. Led by Stephen Clarke, alongside Craig Milne and Jonathan Aiken, the team has taken ownership of Profast Ltd in Ireland, Profast (NI) Ltd, and Fortus Hardware Ltd to lead the company into the next generation.

Action Mental Health

On May 16th, 2025, the team at Profast, Belfast will be hosting a Spinathon to raise money for Action Mental Health!

Action Mental Health is a vital organisation dedicated to promoting mental well-being and supporting those affected by mental health challenges.

We will be clocking up the miles throughout the day to help raise funds and awareness for the important work AMH do in Northern Ireland.

Mental health matters, and we're proud to get behind a cause that supports so many individuals and families in our community.
